| Beauty Training Salon and Spa |  |
Beauty students operate a replica of a real-life business in a practice firm. The Salon provides information about its products and procedures which are then emulated by the practice firm.
Students undertake market research, advertise, buy and sell goods, pay taxes, lease goods and services and negotiate loans with the Learning Shop, reporting to their simulated Board or Managing Director and maintaining all business records in accordance with current legislation.

- Facial and body treatments
- Manicure and pedicures
- Make up and ear piercing
- Massage
- Men’s grooming.

As the Visy Cares Learning Centre is only five years old, it still has that nice new feel to it.
We have a variety of facilities available for hire and you will find our prices are very competitive.

- Function Room
Seating for 100 people in a carpeted area.
Access to a well-equipped kitchen consisting of -
- 2 large fridge/freezers
- microwave oven
- large oven and hotplates
- dishwasher
Please note: BYO crockery and cutlery is required.
- Activity Rooms Area
Seating for 70 people on a vinyl floor.
Particularly suited to children’s functions, it has an adjoining outdoor play area (however conditions for use will apply).
- Buchan Street Community Centre, Meadow Heights
The Community Centre is in close proximity to Visy Cares Learning Centre and may be hired for a variety of purposes. Facilities available include -
- Basketball stadium
- Meeting room
- Childcare area, including outside play equipment
- Large foyer, with access to computers
The Community Centre's facilities may be hired for functions, conferences, playgroups or a sporting activity.
| Broadband for Seniors |  |
MHLS has now been approved as one of the official 'Broadband for Seniors' internet kiosks, located at our Centro Plaza venue, Shop 24 Paringa Boulevard, Meadow Heights.
Broadband for Seniors aims to provide senior Australians with free access to computers, the internet and individual workshop training through the establishment of internet kiosks in the local community.
Senior citizens will be able to learn new skills, stay in contact with family and friends and meet new people by accessing these kiosks.
