Positions are currently available for Tutors and Trainers , Community Development Youth Workers, and Childcare Leader. Applications for multiple roles will be considered.

  • Meadow Heights Learning Shop is a thriving community provider of adult vocational education & training in the northern suburbs.
  • We provide an expanded learning and activity program for school-aged participants.
  • Our Occasional Care Childcare service is licensed for up to 15 children.

 

Tutors and Trainers

$46808-$49851 per annum (pro rata), plus 9% employer superannuation contribution.

We seek expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants to be included on our emergency replacement register for various casual sessions when our regular tutors are on leave.

Applicants must hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent, and appropriate vocational competence in the course area. For the Spoken and Written English program applicants must also hold, or be currently studying, a graduate TESOL qualification. Experience in delivering vocational education in a community, adult education setting will be highly valued.

Community Development Youth Workers
(1 Position)

This position will be in our after-school program which caters to an age range of 8-24 years.

Our program is not like school but, rather, a social activity club for young people, providing them with the opportunity to explore their own creativity in a safe, fun, and non-threatening environment.

We are an official member of the worldwide Intel Computer Clubhouse network ... there are only two in Australia ... and we run an active after school activity program.

Computer Clubhouse and After School Activity Program Leader

$46808-$49851 per annum (pro rata), plus 9% employer superannuation contribution

This a fractional full time appointment over 19 hours per week, in the afternoons, on weekdays, in a partnership or job sharing relationship with an existing Senior Tutor.

The role will involve program delivery, planning and development, meetings and other matters. There may be occasional weekends or evenings by negotiation with the successful candidate.

You will be required to undertake a Police Records Check and hold a valid working with Children check card. The current vacancy occurs on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Childcare Leader

$38885-$40150 per annum (pro rata), plus 9% employer superannuation contribution. This is a part-time, continuing position.

Our not for profit Occasional Care Childcare and Playgroup program requires a team leader to work in and develop our program for children aged six months to 6 years.

The position is normally Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4 pm with some parent education sessions after hours by agreement.

Applicants must hold, or be nearing completion of, the Diploma of Children's Services, have an understanding of the National Childcare Accreditation system and the Children's Services Regulations and their applications in Children's Services.

You will be required to undertake a Police Records Check and hold a valid working with Children check card.
