Individual Study Units

The following ELECTIVE UNITS can be completed individually one session per week. Course fees include CD and materials. Learn to operate a computer from basics through to intermediate level at your own pace. Microsoft Office has something for everyone including the home enthusiast, small business owner or part of a large organization. Improve your knowledge of and skills using
the Office Suite and learn to utilise advanced features. Develop Employment Skills.

  • Pre vocational electro technology

  • Using a Digital Camera and Photoshop (CUVVSP11A & ICPMM321A)
  • Basic web page design (Macromedia Dream weaver) (CUFIMA01A)
  • Using web-authoring tools (Dream weaver, Flash, Fireworks)
  • Intermediate Web Page (Using HTML, JavaScript)
  • Introduction to Computer Hardware. (Dismantle and reassemble a computer, install operating system and drivers)

E-Learning occurs via the TAFE VC portal. This is a State-funded virtual learning product which serves a diverse group of educational providers, including TAFE and Registered Training Organisations. It has its own tools so users do not need to use any other internet tools.

On Line Chat / Who's on Line

Students can chat on line in a very friendly, safe environment.

Users can see fellow classmates who are currently logged into the blackboard and send a chat invitation.

These programs introduce clients to skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. They also focus on areas of grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.
