Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations)

For hospitality employees who perform a range of activities and functions requiring basic operational knowledge and some practical skills. Employees may be multiskilled across more than one functional area of hospitality.

What’s in it for me?
When you graduate you will be qualified to work at an operational level in the hospitality industry.

How do I get in?
You must be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Director that you possess the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake formal study.

You may receive recognition of prior learning based on skills and knowledge acquired through previous study, as
in articulation, informal or formal learning or from work and/ or life experience.

You must attend an information session and selection interview.

How long is it?
Two terms. If you are doing the course through an industry Enterprise or New Apprentice Program, discuss the course duration with the selection officer.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

The Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) Program aims to provide liquor service staff with the knowledge and awareness necessary to responsibly serve alcohol in licensed premises. Persons who satisfactorily complete the course receive an RSA certificate from Consumer Affairs Victoria.
