AMEP (Adult Migrant Preliminary) English, Cert I, Cert II, Cert III

FREE 510 hours for eligible migrants

This program provides basic tuition in English as a second language to help migrants and those from Non-English speaking backgrounds to settle successfully in Australia. Special conditions apply.

 

 

 

Preliminary Spoken & Written English (91418NSW)
  • Course description
    This course is for students with no previous contact with English, or those with few elementary skills. The course covers recognition of alphabet and numbers, social sight words and signs, basic form-filling and social interaction.

Citizenship Course - Let’s Participate

The Australian Citizenship course was developed to give learners in the Adult Migrant English Programme (AMEP) an introduction to topics in Australian civics and to assist them in their applications for Australian Citizenship.

The broad objectives of the course are to -

  • help prospective applicants for Australian Citizenship to gain a more thorough knowledge and understanding of the meaning of Australian Citizenship;
  • provide an overview of Australia's history and institutions; and
  • assist AMEP students in applying for Australian Citizenship by streamlining the application process.
